This is a pastel painting of the Inner Harbour, along the Great Cataraqui River in Kingston, Ontario, Canada. It is based on a photograph I took from the Cataraqui Trail just north of the Woolen Mill, before a storm a couple of years ago. Bell’s Island is visible in the background. This painting has vivid colours and a beautiful velvety texture. It conveys the excitement and mood that comes before a storm. The painting is set in a wooden frame and protected with museum quality glass.
